How it works — 14 seconds, no sound needed.

Fundraising shouldn't be a once-a-year scramble.

Most local charities already have a committed community — the same loyal people who show up, give, and volunteer year after year. The problem isn't that nobody cares. It's that the same people are carrying it: a well-run gala or trivia night can raise real money in a single evening, but it takes an enormous amount of staff and volunteer effort, and when the night ends, you're back to zero. There's rarely the time or budget to reach past the people you already know. Givora builds the layer that grows your supporter base beyond the core you already have.

How it works

Two layers, working together.

An always-on engine that keeps your community warm, and quarterly peaks that turn that warmth into funds.

Always on

The storytelling engine

A steady stream of short impact videos every week — built from one monthly shoot, cut down into many. It grows your supporter list, builds local presence, and quietly invites monthly giving.

Each quarter

The quarterly peak

A rotating campaign — a hero-prize raffle, a community auction, or a seasonal appeal — that converts your warmed-up audience into a funding surge. Every round gets cheaper and bigger as your audience grows.

Why it compounds: continuous storytelling grows an audience you own — an email and SMS list, followers, warm local attention. Each campaign then re-engages those warm supporters instead of buying cold reach, so every round costs less and raises more.

This system has a name. We've published the complete method — the beats, the field rules, the cadence, the numbers — as a free field guide. Read The Harvest Method →

Full management & reporting

We run it; you see exactly what every dollar did.

Exclusive by design

We'll never work with your competition.

Your audience isn't a postcode — it's the people who'd give to your cause, wherever they live. We take on one charity per cause, per community — so your appeal never competes with another Givora campaign for the same donors, or the same prize sponsors.

How we decide: we take on a charity when nobody we're already working with is reaching for the same community around the same cause. Get the funder package →

Who it's for

We're deliberately narrow.

One charity per cause, per community only works if every partnership works. So we qualify hard — in both directions.

A strong fit

  • An ACNC-registered charity with a clearly defined supporter base — a suburb, a city, or a whole state.
  • Roughly $400k+ in total revenue, or $150k+ in annual donations.
  • A decision-maker who can commit to one filming day a month.
  • Ready to build a supporter base you own — not rent one-off reach.

Not a fit — yet

  • Organisations that can't name who their supporters are.
  • A one-off raffle with no interest in the audience it creates.
  • Percentage-of-proceeds arrangements — we don't take cuts, ever.
  • Teams that can't free up a single day a month. It won't work, and we'll say so.

What it costs: a flat monthly retainer from $6,000/month, scoped to the reach we're building for you — never a percentage of what you raise. The only reason we'd turn a charity down is overlap: if we're already working with an organisation serving the same cause and the same community, we won't take both.

Why it pays

A revenue channel, not a cost.

01

Predictable, not a once-a-year gamble

A dependable rhythm of campaigns you can plan around.

02

Compounding monthly giving

Recurring revenue that grows quietly in the background.

03

An audience you own

Reach past the same loyal faces — and re-engage everyone you've already met, cheaply, again and again.

04

Sponsor-funded prizes

Local businesses fund the prizes, so your margin stays high.

Who's behind it

A note from Dave.

Givora is run by me — Dave Burkett. I'm a Wynnum local, and I spent the last decade building a Brisbane software company — co-founding a platform and leading fifty-plus delivery programs across government and enterprise.

I've also been a foster carer. Living inside the systems meant to protect vulnerable kids taught me the thing Givora is built on: systems fail people not from lack of care, but from lack of design. Local charities face the same problem — extraordinary work, invisible to the people who'd fund it, because telling the story is nobody's job.

Givora is my answer to that. Steady storytelling that builds an audience your charity owns, and quarterly campaigns that pay for it. If we work together, you deal with me.

Questions, answered

The things boards ask.

What does Givora do, exactly?

Givora is a managed fundraising service for community charities. We run an always-on storytelling engine — short impact videos every week, built from one monthly shoot — plus one campaign each quarter: a hero-prize raffle, a community auction, or a seasonal appeal. Planned, produced, promoted and reported, for you.

Do you take a cut of what we raise?

No. Givora charges a fixed monthly fee, agreed up front — never a percentage of donations or ticket sales. Your ad budget stays in your name and under your control; we manage it for you.

What is an audience, and how does exclusivity work?

An audience is the group of people likely to give to your cause, across the area you actually serve — so a suburb food relief charity and a state-wide women's health foundation are different audiences, even in the same city. We take on one charity per cause, per community. If an organisation we already work with is reaching your people for your cause, we decline — and once we're working with you, we decline them. That way our charities never compete for the same donors or the same prize sponsors.

We're state-wide, not local. Does this still work?

Yes. Exclusivity is based on who gives to you, not on council boundaries. A state-wide or national charity sits in a state-wide or national audience, priced accordingly — a wider audience means a larger campaign, a larger prize pool and a larger ad budget. The one-charity-per-cause rule and the quarterly campaign rhythm work the same way at every scale.

Who handles the licensing and compliance?

We do. Category 3 licence lodged at kickoff, plus disclosures, draw integrity and record-keeping built into the systems we set up. Your charity stays the registered fundraising operator and beneficiary — we carry the paperwork. Givora provides technology, content and marketing as a service; the fundraising stays yours.

Are raffle tickets tax-deductible for our supporters?

No — and that's normal. Under ATO rules a raffle ticket buys a chance to win, so the purchaser receives a benefit and the payment isn't a gift. That means it isn't tax-deductible, and this has no effect on your DGR endorsement. Ticket buyers get a purchase receipt; direct and recurring donations still get a gift receipt with your DGR details. Charity raffle ticket sales are generally GST-free. We build the right receipting into the systems we set up.

What does it cost?

A fixed project fee, agreed up front — never a percentage of what you raise. The grant-funded pilot is indicatively $33,000 for twelve months including audience-building ad spend; the exact scope and quote are set with your organisation before you apply.

How much work is it for our team?

A few hours a month. You give us one filming day with our crew and approve the content and campaign plans. We handle the production, posting, ads, landing pages, partner coordination and reporting.

We already run a great event each year — do we still need this?

Keep the event. Most of our charities do, and a well-run gala or raffle night can raise real money in one night. The problem isn't the event — it's that all the effort behind it resets every year: the same cold start, the same volunteer burnout, the same scramble to sell tickets from scratch. Givora doesn't replace your event; it wraps always-on storytelling around it, so the audience you build in the lead-up to this year's night is still warm — and bigger — for next year's.

Can this be grant-funded?

Yes — that's how it's currently offered. The pilot is packaged as a twelve-month capacity-building project: supporter capture system, storytelling engine, one measured campaign, skills transfer and an impact evaluation, at a fixed project fee. It's written to fit Queensland capacity-building and community-benefit grant criteria. Prizes, the appeal itself and any ongoing retainer sit outside the grant. The charity applies and holds the grant; Givora supplies the quote and project description and doesn't write or lodge applications.
